The 17th Russian Summer Ball to celebrate H.M The Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the 200th Anniversary of the 1812 Patriotic War will be held at The Banqueting House, Whitehall Palace on Saturday 16th June 2012.
Funds are once again raised for the Romanov Fund for Russia Registered Charity No1037622. The ball is held at the historic Whitehall Palace with an Ivan terrible Vodka and champagne reception followed by dinner and auction for over 300guests.
The 16th Russian Summer Ball was held at The Banqueting House, Whitehall Palace on Saturday 16th June 2011. The Guests of Honour were Her Highness Princess Olga of Russia, HH Prince Rostislav of Russia, Ambassador of the Russian Federation HE Mr Alexander Yakovenko.
Funds were once again raised for the Romanov Fund for Russia Registered CharityNo1037622http://www.romanovfundforrussia.org . The ball was held at the historic Whitehall Palace with an Ivan terrible Vodka and Bagrationi champagne reception followed by dinner for over 300 guests. During the dinner a live auction was held with Hugh Edmeades Head of international Auctioneering, Christies. Lots included a necklace by Shawish, a shawl by Ellion design, a dress by the Russian designer Olga Roh ROHMIR and many others. A silent auction was run by the Broad Gallery and included etchings by Dali and Picasso. A further 150 guests attended the after dinner reception followed by ballroom dancing to the Coldstream Guards, the opening of champagne with sabres by Prince Rostislav of Russia and officers of HM Forces and dancing to Cabaret Russe a Russian Gypsy band till 3.30 in the morning.
